Deers Range

The Deers Range is our very high specification indoor cricket centre. The pavilion is constructed using a sustainable glulam beam structure which swoops across the building and provides a competitive, and more aesthetically pleasing, alternative to other more lightweight and air bubble type cricket centre options. The centre is a contemporary design clad with a mix of render and timber to provide a beautiful modern building.

Materials & Finishes

The cricket centre is constructed using a closed panel system that is heavily prefabricated. The prefabrication includes all external and internal walls, external doors and windows, internal doors, stairs, glulam roof with finish and external balustrading. The prefabrication of the building is undertaken offsite whilst the groundworks, and demolitions if required, are going on. This allows for an extremely quick erection and installation of the building on site. Glulam beams support the building and provide a sweeping roof design. These are exposed on the large ceiling space to create a beautiful visual finish. Externally, the centre is half timber larch clad and half acrylic rendered which provides excellent protection against water and fungae ingress. The timber is stained to ensure that the golden colour is maintained and doesn’t silver over time. Silver aluminium rainwater pipes provide a beautiful steel finish. External uplighters illuminate the building into the evening.

Layout

This building is designed to serve the elite playing of indoor cricket with a 5-lane net facility and ECB compliant carpet. The building is incredibly energy efficient and cheap to run and is stunning to look at. Outside of the main sports hall space is a general office facility with toilets and storage for the kit. A staircase opens out onto the viewing terrace where spectators and parents can watch the action from height and coaches can analyse the sessions. This is a truly high quality facility that is affordable.
